Friday, July 21, 2017   Needle Point - Basic where to start
Saturday, July 22, 2017 10 AM Needle Point - Sleigh Master

Janeann Sleeman from Florida will be with us once again

According to Janeann…
“Have you ever wondered what you should consider when selecting a canvas, stitches, threads and stitching order?  If you have, this class will help you sort it out. Some of the topics covered in the class will be deciding stitch size, picking threads, harmonizing colors and determining the best order to stitch and why. Bring a canvas to the class you are starting or want to get back to. You will get some great tips and techniques or just  get inspired.”

On Friday the 21st Janeann will be teaching this wonderful beginner class. For $30.00 including sales tax, bring your own canvas or we can make you a practice canvas and she will help you spice it up with threads and stitches.  She is anxious to help you work on those “stitching blocks” that keep us from finishing our projects. We are excited that Janeann also plans to show us how to best use a couple of specialty threads that we have in stock.

SantaOn Saturday morning (the 22nd) at 10am, Janeann will be providing instruction for “Sleigh Master”. For just $150.00 including sales tax, you will receive the canvas, threads, bars, needle, stitch guide … and every little thing you need to complete the canvas!

Hopefully these dates will be good for you. We will need a $15 deposit for Friday night and $50 deposit for Saturday's class to hold a spot for you. It is important that we have definite answers to either or both of the classes by or before the end of the month of June.

Please call 304-722-0123 or email at
Thanks so much…………….Robin and Pat

More classes will be announced soon

Basic info for classes and workshops are that we like to include all supplies in our fees. Sales tax is extra. No other unexpected expenses when you get here.  (In the punch needle workshops, we loan the needle because it is expensive and you might not want one rolling around in your doodad drawer if punching isn't your cup of tea after all.)

PincushionIf there is something that you want to learn, please let us know and we will schedule a workshop. If you have friends who want to join you, we will schedule a time that is mutually convenient. Some projects may run a little longer that the time we have allotted. Feel free to stay and continue to stitch. If you want, stay anyway and plan to bring a bag lunch. We have a refrigerator, microwave and soft drinks available.

It would be helpful if you brought your own scissors, magnifiers, pillows, or footstools that you need for comfortable stitching. Otherwise all supplies for each project is included in the fee.

A phone call or email will get you on the list, but only full payment guarantees a seat and a kit for the class.wool flower

There are other needlework techniques and arts that we are hoping to add to the mix as we can find the Saturdays and Sundays to fit them in. For example, Monica wants to teach a more involved class using several different stitches and a pretty picot edge. If there's enough interest, I'd like to have a waste canvas (on a sweatshirt) workshop and a duplicate stitch (on a sweater) workshop this spring, too. We're working on a beginner/intermediate hardanger project.
Anyone interested?

We are looking for a date on the calendar to have a "make up" day for those who need a little help finishing any of the projects that we worked on in the past year.
